Day 20,21 and 22.  headband,half cards,number cards!!

For the headband, students color and cut all the Halloween pictures. Then, they cut the pictures and glue onto an already made strip of black construction paper. Staple to adjust to the child’s head.

This is a fun game that can be used so many ways. Cuta ll the cards in half following the lines in the middle. The easiest one is to hand a half to each students in a random order and at your signal have them stand up and look around to find the other half and stand together making a whole card. You can also ask questions:

Teacher: Who has the star? Then both students stand up and make a complete star and say the Word.

Have all the cards ready to hand one  in to each student. Have the arrange themselves in number order and say their number.

Then, have them make sentences such as: Number one is a witch.

the cards can be sorted into odd and even.

Day 23,24 and 25.  puzzles,emotion cards,paper chains!!

Cute printable puzles!

Review the emotions with these cards to sort onto plastic plates.

Making paper chains are so long forgotten. I used to make them at school, just have the students hop on to the tradition.

Day 26,27 and 28.  door decor, Reading book,banners !!

With the templates make a long door decor. It is easy because after coloring the Halloween ítems, students cut and paste them onto a lace.

A reading book! Just print and put together to read or use it as a pdf for electronic equipment.

Banners for the classroom or as a writing activity for the younger students.

Halloween Resources for EFL Students

Day 15. Halloween and school resource !!

Halloween School Flashcards. I made them small enough for online teaching.

Review prepositions using the flashcards.

Teacher: Where is the skeleton?
Students: She is in front of the board.

Use the flashcards to review commands in class.

Or have students play with the gameboard.

Cutouts can be used for so many things. Sorting is always fun! Students can say a phrase as they sort out all the cutouts.

Day 16.  Halloween balloons !!

Some Halloween decoration is fun to make for the actual classroom or for the homes those on distance teaching. It is fun and gives the opportunity to review the parts of the face and some vocabulary such as color, cut, glue and more.

For the cat, I made a base using recycled black paper, I folded it several times in order to have the cat stand. I opened a small hole in the middle of the base to pass the balloon’s knot through. I made two kinds of balloons, one with the complete face cutout and another with just the facial features. I added the tail just by folding it and taped it.

Now the pumpkin, I added a picture on how I made the base. The facial features template are in gray to trace onto balck construction paper or just print the black one.

Then we have the hanging balloons, the ghost and the bat. I taped a piece of yarn to the base of the ballonn and hung it onto the ceiling for the students to play games.

Day 17. Coloring book !!

An old book that I had in the store and I am did all over again. Many teachers liked it and well, it is in the resource with new clipart.

Day 18 and 19. matching cards and clothespins templates !!

Several Halloween vocabulary ítems and the color words to play memory and more games.

I made colored plates. I bought paper plates and colored with finger Paint each one in a different color for sorting purpose.

There is a blank template for the studenst to write their own phrases and play matching games with their classmates.

On a fun note, make clothespin out of fun foam. Get the templates and start working.

Day 13.  Haunted Houses to review the prepositions !! Elementary English classroom

I added opened clips behind each Halloween charácter and paper towel tubes behind the house to make everything stand.

Place the Halloween People in different places in the house and ask questions.
Teacher: Who is this?
Students: She is the witch.
Teacher: Where is the Mummy?
Students: The Mummy is on the Haunted House
.

Teacher: Who are in front of the house?
Students:The Vampire and the Witch.

Teacher: How many people are in front of the house?
Students:five!

There is a black and White versión for the studenst to color and make their own Haunted House and a lined paper for them to write sentences according to their level.

Day 14.  stuffed Halloween Characters !!

I had done this activity years ago with the school unit and thought that the Halloween faces would look cute. It is fun and besides helps out with the motor skills for the Little ones. Review the parts of the face and the emotions. Use the stuffed characters to play games as you would play with beanbags.

As a listening activity dictate the parts of the face of each Hallowen Character to color the template.  You can assign a carácter to each student, they don’t have to do them all, they can do their favorite one.

Teacher: Look at the witch ¡ Her hair is Brown. Her nose is orange and her mouth is red. Is she happu, sad or angry?
Students: She is angry!!

Have the students trace the charácter onto any recycled cardboard.

                                        Cut!

                               And check the steps.

Another example on how to assemble the charácter.

Use torn paper to assemble the character as well.

Finished product!

This is better done on a pocket chart, if you don’t have one it can be done on a table. It is just matching the sentences to the pictures.

I also added a matching mat using the cards from the pocket chart.

There is a black and white versión that can be used as a listening activity in which you give directions and students do as indicated by you.

Day 10. Candy corn coloring and listening activity !!

Students color all the candy corn as in the template.

After the worksheet is done have the students cut each part of the Candy corn and be ready to put them together as they listen to your instruction.

Students will put together a Candy corn as they listen.

Teacher: pink, Green, Brown. Students will find the colors and put together a candy corn. Students can also give the directions for another candy corn.

Day 11.  Labeling clothes, body and face parts on a given flashcard !!

Day 12.  flashcards to play endless games !!

ABC order.

Color Questions. Ask questions that relates to a color. Look at my examples.  As students answer the questions, other students find the flashcards to prove the answers and place them in color order.
