Halloween and School Vocabulary Flashcards
Encourage your elementary ESL students to create complete sentences while practicing Halloween and school vocabulary. Display a Halloween and School flashcard and invite students to describe what they see. As students share their ideas, write their sentences on the board. This simple activity helps learners connect vocabulary, colors, school objects, and sentence structure in a meaningful way.
Students: Vampire!
I
made this pointer to read words. I bought this cutout at Dollar tree years ago,
but grab the idea to make your own.
The worksheets with a
Halloween theme add excitement to the lessons. Have the students complete the
worksheets while learning school supplies vocabulary in a festive context.
Students will love practicing Halloween and school vocabulary with this fun domino game. As they match pictures and words, they reinforce vocabulary recognition, reading skills, and speaking confidence. This hands-on activity encourages cooperation, turn-taking, and meaningful language practice while keeping young learners engaged and motivated. The game is perfect for small groups, literacy centers, early finishers, or vocabulary review lessons.
Use your calling cards to start
the game: an orange book! The student that color the book orange can cross out
the block. Keep in mind that you can play this game at any other time using the
same board that they have created. It is useful for those final 5 or 10 minutes
to wrap up a class.

Leaving for last this flap book
printable. This is a creative writing activity. Students will color the Frankenstein
on each flap and write a text.
