Learners. Reading is a linguistic competence. All the books were tailored to meet the age and language level of the
students. Another competence to include into your lesson plan is the linguistic as in reading short texts.
This Rooms of the House printable book is part of a complete House Unit designed for elementary English language learners. Printable books provide meaningful opportunities to integrate reading, speaking, and vocabulary practice while reinforcing the concepts introduced with flashcards, small cards, worksheets, and games.
The House book has nice illustrations and with simple sentences to foster a positive
attitude towards reading in the new language.
Book Assembly Activity
The first illustration is a house shape that students will color in any way they wish, and cut it to create the book.
Have
the students read the sentences and color each room of the house, besides
gluing the family member in each one.
Short predictable texts help emerging readers focus on meaning while building confidence and fluency in the new language.
As a teacher you can adapt the content,
by having students add more sentences to each page.

Take a look of the book inside, already assembled:
Differentiated Book Option
There
is another book to allow more customization based on their language
proficiency. Students can add pictures of their family members or even draw
them. Adapt the book to suit the needs of your learners and lead to a more
