Creating a fashion catalog as group work will build vocabulary. Students will use the new words related to clothing.

There are templates provided. Make yours as an example to guide students through the catalog creation process. Offer sentence starters that you would like that your learners to practice.

Have the students describe the clothing pictures that they could draw or cut from magazines and creating captions helps improve sentence structure, grammar, and writing skills.

When the stduents design the catalog, it will encourage creativity. They will also express their individuality through fashion choices, which can be empowering and confidence-building. It is fun to work together to create the catalog promoting collaboration and cooperative learning.

The groups can present the catalogs to the class to boost oral language abilities.

 Integrate games into the learning process for your elementary English language learners (ELLs), especially when teaching vocabulary related to clothing.

Clothes Unit Board Games are fun and engaging. Use them to increase students' motivation to learn. Children are more likely to participate actively with their peers. This board game requires that the players think critically and answer the questions on the card according to the color they land on.

Repetition is crucial for vocabulary acquisition. Playing clothes domino will provide an opportunity to repeat and practice the clothes words in a natural and enjoyable context. Students will practice speaking and listening as they place their domino tile in the corresponding place.

The combination of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic elements in games can enhance memory retention. Interactive activities such as the clothes puzzle printable will help students remember vocabulary better than traditional rote learning. Players have to solve the puzzle as they navigate the game.

Many games require teamwork, collaboration, and communication, which helps ELLs develop their social skills and practice language use in social interactions. This is an old game. People name it the snapdragon or cootie catcher. Print the template if it useful or have the students do it from scratch.  I will add a video for how to assemble the snapdragon.

Spelling Games create a low-stress environment.  Print this Hands-On Interaction letter tiles. This game can be particularly beneficial for young learners.

Games can be adapted to cater to different learning styles and proficiency levels, such as this matching word to the clothes pictures. This allows teachers to provide differentiated instruction for the students present in class. Associating words with images helps students remember vocabulary more effectively.

Interactive worksheets are fun and develops problem-solving skills and attention to details. They can be matching the word to the picture and word searches.

There is also a color and clothing word puzzles that includes drawing the item.

Worksheets can be used for homework as an independent practice to consolidate learning. Students will draw clothing items on the girl or boy worksheet and write a short paragraph. Students can draw, color and write about their favorite clothes.

Review the parts of the body and say which clothes goes where.

Toys Unit Robots for the Elementary English Language Learners-Starters

Teaching prepositions to your learners is crucial for constructing basic sentences. Students will learn to describe locations between the robot and a box.

Show a flashcard with a preposition (in, on, under, behind, in front of, next to, between) and pronounce it clearly. Have the students repeat after you as you show the relation between the robot and the box. All the images are relatable to the unit. Show a flashcard and ask students to identify the preposition. Encourage them to make sentences using the illustrated scene after you model one: The robot is in front of the box.

Reinforce with the Robot Prepositions Worksheets: have the students learn the correct use of prepositions for writing grammatically correct sentences.

Print several dice and have them ready for the stduents to color the word and robot according to the picture that shows up.

This is a matching worksheet that provides a list of sentences with all the prepositions and a set of robot pictures. Students will have to draw a line from each sentence to the correct robot.

Find Fill-in-the-Blanks with a preposition worksheet. There is also a review of the parts of the face worksheet.

Play a memory game where students find the matching pairs.

Use the cutouts to prepare this fun activity to help improve listening and speaking. Plan your Interactive Demonstration by gluing the colored cutouts to a box or any other item and a robot to a craft stick. Students should do the same with their cutouts after coloring them.  Ask the students to describe the position of the objects using the prepositions: The robot is in the box.

Printing these small cards to teach clothes units to elementary ESL (English as a Second Language) students can be an engaging and educational tool. Check this guide to making these cards effective and interactive.

If your learning objective is vocabulary acquisition as having the students name the clothing items. Here are some ideas using the small cards in the resource.

Use the set of small cards to create this easy activity for identifying clothing. Cut the words out of each card and have them match to the corresponding clothing item. Each card included a clear picture of the clothing item and the English name of the item.

If you just want to review the vocabulary, use the check list provided.

Labeling is another good exercise practice the new words to describe clothing. This can aid in vocabulary building and sentence construction.

Another activity is to show cards to students and ask them to name the items the person is wearing.

Students will write a description using the present continuous for any small card that you choose from more than any of the 600 cards that are in the resource. Start with the sentence structure: is wearing.

Have the students write short descriptive texts using the possessive 's to talk about the who owns a clothing item. Learning to write improves their ability to communicate effectively in everyday situations. This kind of activity helps students learn and remember the names of various clothing items. They can add colors, patterns, and sizes words.

 Here is another example to write personal identification description texts for what others are wearing.

Speaking: Students will say what the person on the card is wearing.
