Playground Flashcards for Elementary English Language Learners

Students will identify and name the play things.
Place the playground flashcards on the board and write a number under each one.  Say a number and have the class shout the word. Then, say the word and the class shouts the number.
Teacher: Number three!
Students: bars!
Teacher: grass
Students: Number eight!

Ask where the children are: Look! Where are the children?
Students: at the playground!
Ask questions for the students to answer using the prepositions of place: on.

To talk about playground activities

Talk about the people at the playground.

Describe the colors of the playground items.
