Emotions adjectives Flashcards to describe people

This resource can be found here: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Emotions-Unit-for-Elementary-EFL-2023631

Emotions are the feelings we have inside. It is important that English students learn to use these expressions.

Students can see a clear picture of the emotion on the flashcard and connect it with the word. They also allow for interactive activities such as matching, role-playing, games, and question-and-answer practice, which helps children remember the vocabulary and use it in real situations.

This activity helps students connect the visual image, body language, and spoken sentence. Hold an emotion flashcard and ask: How does he feel?

Student: (Miming) He is worried.

Shows more cards for the students to act it out.

Ask more questions to check comprehension and use of the new language. Students can also be the ones to ask the questions: Is she shy?

Student: Yes, she is.

Ask the students for any emotion: Who is sad? Any student that has the emotion will raise the hand and say: I am sad.

Activity: How Are You Today?

Ask a student to pick any emotion flashcard. Then ask, How are you today?”
The student holds the card and answer, “I am confused.”

This activity gives students practice in first-person sentences
